The home is located in a small town in the Black Forest. Multiple hiking trails connect to other hiking trails in the immediate vicinity, and there are many paths back to the village. The host was absolutely wonderful and showed us everything we needed to know about the home. The house itself was huge. A few restaurant options are a short drive away, including the not-to-be-missed Kalte Herberge serving traditional southern German fare with warm and friendly service! More options and grocery stores are in Furtwangen, a 14-minute drive away. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle for a few days or a few weeks, the Altes Pfarrhaus should be on your itinerary.

It was very clean, out in the country. Has it's own beautiful little church right outside the property. The owners were very nice and spoke a little English. It is a working farm so you cannot run around and pet the animals. A good home base for visiting the black forest, although not very close to the sights.

Really nice apartment in a new part of the farmhouse. Lots of space and very clean. Nice to be at a production farm, and the hosting family was really friendly. We stayed here as a stop on the way only, but decided to visit one of the canyon trails and it was lively.
