We used this place as a stop off between Cahuita and San Jose. It sleeps 7 and offered tv and Wifi so met our needs.
It’s not a pretty place inside, but it had a lovely dining table outside amongst nature, and enough kitchen stuff to make a meal. It was good value for the price we paid, but also ‘you get what you pay for’ holds true.

Absolutely stunning & Vivi (the host) made the whole stay even better. The apartment is already Wow! with the view - honestly worth the stay just for it. You can have breakfast, relax, work remotely & even go to the bathroom admiring the view! But having Vivi as the host exceeded my expectations - she treated us like friends, she was absolutely amazing with helping us getting to the place and getting us some food. She was very attentive to us and sooooo friendly, it was great chatting with her as well.
I will definitely come back!

Cute little house close to Irazu Volcano National Park. It's a little old fashioned but had a well equipped kitchen. A good option for an early start at the volcano. Make sure you book entrance tickets to the volcano online in advance - they are not available on the gate.

Nice hotel, rooms are very clean and the view from the poolside is simply gorgeous. The staff is very helpful and kind. They reserved and negociated a fair taxi price to go to and come back from turrialba's volcano ! They also offered me coffee !
