Great for families or large parties, holiday homes are privately owned accommodation, available for long or short-term rental. This place is the best hostel we've had in China (and maybe Asia). The living room is very cosy, very suitable for taking a warm tea after a good hike, meeting other people from the hostel, or eating delicious food (chineese, corean and western dishes are available). The owner is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and cosy.

Kunga and his wife were very kind and hospitable hosts. They picked us up for free from the High Speed Rail station. Gave us a lot of travel information that made our stay in Shangri La an enjoyable one. Room was cosy and very clean. Heater and electric blanket in the room were enough to keep us warm in the cold winter. Located inside the Duzekong ancient town, food is easily available just outside the guesthouse. Highly recommended!!

Very clean room with comfortable bed, slippers, reading lamp, heating in the bed and socket next to it. Great view to the Gorge. Nice owner who speaks English and makes great food. The restaurant at the guest house is very good.

Traditional old Tibetan house with lots of character and charm, including creaking floors, heavy drapes in front of all the doors and a glassed in central courtyard. Very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Being there in early January, we made full-time use of the mobile heating unit to keep the room warm. The manager very kindly upgraded us to a suite for part of our stay. Breakfast was good-sized Chinese style.

Overall, it was nice. room was very clean and comfortable. bathroom was clean. Staff was very pleasant. They suggested a short hike for me to do and I had a wonderful view of the city in morning, because of the hike they suggested. Location was good, close to restaurants and great for walking. They also had a clothes washing machine on site and a place to dry clothes. Nice stay. :)

Wonderful owners. Food was awesome, the best we had in tiger leaping gorge. Room was very clean and comfortable. we got a room with a balcony and mountain view. the balcony had two comfortable chairs and a table. It was great to sit on the balcony and look at the mountains. Bed was comfortable and we slept well.
