Ypres is a beautiful town and staying at the Menin Gate House made our visit incredible. The museum quality decor, history of the home, and Benoit’s hospitality made our trip to Ypres unforgettable. The home was very roomy for 2 families with kids. Plenty of bathrooms and showers, a big kitchen on the ground level, and another on the 2nd level (3rd to Americans). We all had our own space, plus a really great central gathering space. The location is excellent, made it very easy to walk all around town, and parking our big van in front was a plus. The Last Post Ceremony across the street is a must see, and Benoit gave us excellent recommendations of WWI sites to visit with the short amount of time we had.
The Front Door N28 is located in Ieper, just a 10-minute walk from The Menin Gate and 16 miles from St. Philibert Metro Station.

Everything about the accommodation (actually stayed in Front Door N12 nearer to the centre as 28 looks to have been booked twice (this was sorted out with the owner in the week before the stay).
I don't know how N28 could be better than N12 but if it is then wow.

Great for families or large parties, vacation homes are privately owned accommodations, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities, though breakfast might be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different than apartments.
The host was super friendly, stayed in contact with us on our journey, and met us upon arrival. The apartment was very clean and perfect for a long-weekend visiting the battlefields and museums of the First World War. There was a dishwasher and fully-equipped kitchen, a comfy sitting room with an extra sofa bed and two bedrooms, towels and bedding were provided. The local area is very nice, with a supermarket within walking distance and there was secure parking on site. We really enjoyed our stay.
