This is such a lovely place to stay. Nicole is a fantastic host and was always ready to help with anything. The house is a very comfortable traditional Bajan home with a good kitchen, comfy beds, good shower and all you need. The neighbourhood is quiet, safe and friendly although there are a few chickens so ear plugs are a good idea if that would bother you.
The location is excellent for a 10 minute walk to the beach (Bats Rock - which is a fantastic natural beach with palm trees and safe swimming), easy walking to supermarket, restaurants and bars.
We stayed for a week and would happily go back.
There is also ample parking and easy road access to the rest of the island.
Sat Nav can be a bit tricky, but searching ‘Prospect Close, Saint James, Barbados’ on Google maps is correct. The close is off Crusher Site Road, which is well known. The what3words is ///straying.ember.turns.

A lovely, peaceful house, the balcony was our favourite space to lounge and we ate breakfast outside everyday. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend staying here to anyone who is happy with basic amenities and local living. The property is well-equipped and there's a really helpful book with recommended places to eat and visit in the area. Kenrick was super helpful - as was Ian. We enjoyed bananas from the garden and interacting with the local community as they passed the house on the path that runs alongside it. We highly recommend De Garage 'Jukebox Wednesdays' for karaoke, great food and vibes and rum!

This stunning and cozy villa was very clean. Housekeeping was amazing! Also, well stocked kitchen with pots, pans and utensils. Located in a nice quiet area and convenient location made our vacation all the more relaxing and enjoyable. This gated community had well maintained grounds and the villa has a big porch. The Palms Resort was just what we were looking for! The rooms were nice and clean and very comfortable. They had everything you need for a wonderful stay. We had 2 rooms between the family of 4. The ladies at reception were very obliging and made sure the rooms were close to each other. One of the rooms had a problem with the A/C and we were immediately moved to a different room - still close by. The pool and pool deck were perfect! very clean and plenty of loungers.
The property was spacious and very clean. The staff was warm and welcoming and was ready to help for anything to the best of their abilities.. The administration managed everything so well during the severe hurricane that we weren't short of food/water or electricity, unlike other hotels/resorts (as far as I heard). The property manager, Raj Ganguly, is an extremely pleasant person to talk to and seek help from. Highly recommended for an all-inclusive vacation.
Apartment and view were truly amazing! Everything was very clean, nice and badroom is quite big. Downstairs is well equipped kitchen with dinning table. Moreover Denise was very lovely and helpful. Parking was available very close to the house. Dont hesitate to stay at Denise's place, you will be very satisfied!
The apartment was perfect for us, very clean and spacious. The gardens were beautifully kept with various birds and monkeys passing through. The pool, gym and relaxation areas were all great too. Paynes Bay is just at the end of the road which is a really lovely beach. We would definitely stay here again. The hosts were very helpful and always on hand and f needed.
Great aircon, parking and good location. Nice people to deal with. Mosquito window screens need a little tightening up / minor repairs, though I add I saw no mosquitos on this visit. Good idea would be to fit one on the balcony door. Comfortable beds and decent bathrooms. Very clean property.
