The property is non-smoking and is situated 2.4 km from Johns Hopkins University. This place was beautifully designed and so thoughtful. The interiors were decorated so intentionally and the exterior space was super impressive. Staff also let us park our box truck behind the hotel which was super great. Would totally stay here again if we are back in town. Cheers to the ownership of this space. I’m sure it took a lot of hard work to get a place like this up and running.

At first, I was concerned when my wife booked our Monday to Thursday vacation at a wedding venue. I was very pleasantly surprised to experience an amazingly wonderful vacation! I discovered and confirmed that, as a wedding venue, they are not always very busy from Sunday to Thursday. During our week, there were four other couples or families on the property. We only saw them at breakfast or at a distance on the property. The rest of the time we felt like we had the entire property to ourselves. The breakfasts were wonderful! We were given options and our selections were prepared specifically for us, at the time of our request. Being gluten intolerant, we discovered that the Oaks staff was very knowledgeable about gluten sensitivities and were able to provide entrées to meet our dietary restrictions that were very tasty and appealing! We were fully prepared to experience all kinds of mosquitoes and insects, being on the Eastern shore of Maryland in August. To our surprise, we did not see any mosquitoes, spiders, or any other types of insects throughout our entire stay. I even looked under the Adirondack chairs and recliners in the pool area and around the property and did not see any insects or spiders of any kind. We asked and were told that the property is sprayed regularly. The staff (especially Lamond) were exceptionally supportive throughout our entire stay. The entire property was clean and well-kept. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend this property!

There is so much wildlife around-my husband went birdwatching every morning, finding birds and seeing deer. The breakfast choices were amazing-frittatas, quiche, casseroles, fresh fruit, freshly baked pastries and so much more! While in an isolated quiet area, easy to get to restaurants in Rock Hall as well as a quick trip to get to Chestertown. Everyone was beyond wonderful!
