Located in a peaceful area of Chiang Rai, Gita's House offers a friendly guesthouse, a 15-minute drive away from the Bus Terminal. It is just like staying in a brand new hotel. They had to totally refurbish after losing pretty much everything they had in the September floods, and they have done a really good job of it. Top that with friendly and efficient service and you have a great place to stay. We booked one night on spec and were disappointed not to be able to extend for another as they were fully booked.

Offering a garden and garden view, Baan Khunsri Guesthouse is situated in Chiang Rai, 1.1 km from Chiang Rai Saturday Night Walking Street and 1.4 km from Wat Pra Sing. We wanted to never leave this place.. it is amazing. The host is the kindest and the most helpful person we have ever seen. We loved everything: delicious breakfast, big and comfy room, really nice terrace. The location is very very good. The room is equipped with everything you need and more. Host was so lovely and welcoming, I really felt comfortable from the very beginning to the very end. Historical house with a lot of charm. Outstanding and authentic North Thailand breakfast prepared with love. 110% recommendation!

The beds are European style soft and comfortable unlike many other properties in Asia. This style of mattress is a unique find and a very good investment from the owner; on par with many 5 star hotels. It was like I was sleeping at home for a night. Vast and deep sleep. The shower was powerful and hot, again like home. Nice bathtub too! Thank you for this attention to the basics that matter.
