Wonderful accommodations, exceptional dinners...fresh local ingredients, absolutely delicious Slovenian dishes prepared perfectly! Had a really thoughtful conversation with the owner about the history of the area, who was able to share perspectives of Slovenians who stayed in the region after WWII. (My family emigrated from a neighboring town to the US after the war) After visiting this gorgeous place, it was easy to see why my grandfather missed his homeland so much.

The host, a passionate bike lover, even offered guided tours, which was a fantastic way to explore the area. The location is ideal—just a short walk to the city center, with a supermarket right across the street. Despite my late check-in, the staff was incredibly accommodating, and I was pleasantly surprised to receive a room upgrade at no extra cost. Plus, the free private parking on-site made everything hassle-free. Perfect for anyone looking for comfort and convenience!

Offering panoramic views over the surrounding countryside, an outdoor pool and offering bicycles, Lagotto's Peak is set in natural surroundings in the Žumberak Nature Reserve, 48 km from Karlovac. The owner was very helpful, accomodating and friendly, and made us feel at home at this peaceful location. The kids were happy exploring the surrounding area and swimming in the swimming pool, and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Located in the traditional Slovenian village near Dvor, Guesthouse Novak offers an on-site restaurant that serves local and international specialities. Guests can use the free Wi-Fi access. My friend and I had a fantastic stay at Novak Guesthouse; it was a highlight of our two weeks in Slovenia. Boris and Miriam are the most gracious hosts. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Breakfast and dinner were excellent, featuring fresh, local ingredients and homemade specialties that showcased the best of Slovenian cuisine and an incredible selection of wines. They were also kind enough to accommodate my dietary restrictions, ensuring that every meal was a delightful experience. Novak Guesthouse is a special place, and we hope to visit again in the future!
