Set in Ponta Delgada, 12 km from Pico do Carvao and 24 km from Sete Cidades Lagoon, The Rock Hostel offers air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. The building was freshly renovated. Everything worked very well. The aircondition was very silent! The room was spacious. There was a small plunge pool, very handy.

Offering a rooftop pool and sea view, Olive Boutique Guesthouse is situated in Vila Franca do Campo, 400 metres from Praia do Corpo Santo and 500 metres from Praia da Vinha da Areia. We had an amazing stay! The staff was so friendly, helpful and accommodating, they made our stay even more special. They even left a birthday treat for my partner. Breakfast was also top notch - delicious local cheese, bread, scrambled eggs, fruits, pastries, everything is fresh and tasty. Soundproofed rooms, despite having window facing through street, it was very quiet even on a Saturday night. Recommend this hotel 👍🏻

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool and views of sea, Solar de Santo André is a recently renovated guest house located in Ponta Delgada, 12 km from Pico do Carvao. We had a phenomenal stay at Solar de St. André. We stayed for a week and were blown away by the standard of the accommodation and the fantastic hospitality. Eduarda and her team are brilliant and genuinely go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. We were always made to feel welcome and were even invited to a nearby concert, which was excellent. Marina deserves a special mention as she not only prepared fab breakfasts each morning, but gave us local advice, recommendations and just nice chit chat! Our room - the blue room - had everything we needed, super clean, well appointed and quiet. Comfortable bed. The hotel is like a museum, everything is charming and quaint but also modern and well-finished. Breakfast selection was always great, local produce and coffee always on hand . We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this place.

Set 12 km from Pico do Carvao, DMCharme offers air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony. With inner courtyard views, this accommodation features a patio. Bed is comfortable. Private bathroom is huge. The host is very attentive and helpful. Daniel helped me with taxi when I was in the middle of the island.

CITY STONE HOUSE in Ponta Delgada provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, barbecue facilities and a shared lounge. I want to recommend this accommodation to everyone who comes to the azores! A great accomodation and an even grater host! He really cares for your wellbeing and for you to make your stay as enjoyable as possible! He provided us with every help and assistance, from tips where to go out for dinner to rainy-day-program, with bath towels for each day and even bathtowels to go to the hot springs (which are a must do in our opinion but thats another story) The room was very nice, clean and had everything we needed (thanks for the anti-moskito-plug! Made our nights very peaceful). In the shared area is even a fully equipped kitchen, there is coffe and even a garden to sit outside and enjoy breakfast. Locationwise you can get to the city center via a short walk, there is one excellent fish restaurant down the street and you have a parking opportunity suitable for mainland europeans ;) Everything you need is close by. Convenient location in São Roque, 20-30 min walk to Ponta Delgada downtown. Around 10 min walk to grocery store and some restaurants. Studio is quite small, but comfortable, very clean and well equipped. Kitchen is nice for preparing basic meals. The terrace is fantastic, overlooking the ocean and gets a lot of sun. Pool towels are great to take with you to hot springs.

Everything about this stay was just perfect! Maria and Antonio are the perfect hosts - always smiling and giving us advices on what to visit and when. The kitchen is fully equipped and the room is very cozy and comfortable. The view out of the window into the greenery of their big garden is so relaxing, that you will never want to leave. Definitely recommend if you wanna stay out of the city and enjoy some quiet.
