Situated just 1.7 km from Lugar de Baixo Beach, Panoramic House provides accommodation in Quinta do Almeida with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a shared kitchen. Location was great, I loved the big kitchen, the shared spaces, the garden, the outside sittings, the shower was new and nice, enough parking, the host gave us some product from the garden, good beds.

Situated in Arco da Calheta and only 2.6 km from Madalena do Mar Beach, The Artist House features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. A real pleasure to stay in this big home sarounded by very expensive homes. While I enjoyed the company with others staying there, I also enjoyed having the home completely to myself throughout most of the day. Excellent views, very clean. The bedroom and bathroom seemed like it's own apartment, very large. The owners husband and wife are very sweet, and I enjoyed sharing lots of stories with the owner.

Featuring lake views, Belle Vue offers accommodation with balcony, around 7.4 km from Santana's traditional houses. The house is marvelous!!!! It’s such a nice villa with modern facilities and stunning view! The host offered us coffee and biscuits upon our arrival. Although she can’t speak English or Deutsch but we can still communicate by google translate. I don’t find it’s a problem at all since she’s super sweet regardless.

Sunset House in Arco da Calheta provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a terrace and barbecue facilities. It was pleasure staying at Sunset house. As seen from the pictures the view is amazing! Beds are really comfortable, and the bathrooms and kitchen is always clean. Kitchen is big and is equiped with all kinds of stuff, and the best part is fresh fruit from the garden :) Host are so kind and nice and always there to help. Also there was 2 parking spaces in garage, but you can also leave car in front of the house. Location is great, half an hour drive from Funchal, but it is closer to the cliffs to the west which was my favourite part of the island. Such a pleasant accomodation :)

Featuring a terrace with sea views, pool with a view and a garden, Bluegreen can be found in Arco da Calheta, close to Caminho Faja do Mar Beach and 22 km from Girao Cape. The host was great always available and friendly but not over hovering us. Great hosting overall. The house was very tastefully decorated and newly renovated, with a well equipped outside space and even a small pool. Bathroom was very clean and loved the rain shower.

Located within 2.7 km of Calheta Beach and 25 km of Girao Cape, Amoreira House offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Calheta. Very clean and very well equipped apartment with wonderful ocean and sunset view from the terrace, everything is practically new. The owner is simply amazing - he invited us for drinks and regularly brought us some fruits, always ready to help and share tips. We had really wonderful vacation because of hospitality of the owner. Free parking on street. Two minutes walk to great poncha bar. Five minutes drive to Calheta Beach. Twenty minutes drive to PR6 levada hikes.

Perfect location to base in order to visit the entire island. Beautiful, updated, large apartment. Excellent view. Excellent host. Quiet. Everything you need to cook and wash clothing. The host went out of her way by meeting us at a gas station off of the main road to guide us to the apartment. We wish other hosts would have done that during our visits to other places in Portugal. Not a difficult location to find but having someone lead you in and tell you where to park (when you are getting in near midnight) is truly going above and beyond to make things as easy as possible for guests.

Set in Câmara de Lobos, 700 metres from Vigário Beach, Casa da Cal - by Casas na Ilha offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. We had an exceptional stay at this very fashionable classic house. The property is immaculately clean and incredibly well-organized. The beautiful garden is a perfect spot to relax, adding to the charm of the place. Overall, this stay offered great value for money. Highly, highly recommended!
