I recently had the pleasure of spending four amazing nights at The Living Room (TLR). Where to begin… Norman ! That’s easy. Prior to arriving I received an incredibly warm welcome message packed with priceless information on where to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner ! Upon exploring the town for the first time it was evident Siargao is a place that prides itself on the quality and contrast of its food. Having spent the prior two weeks at several locations in the Philippines I was stoked to be concluding my trip here. I followed Norman’s advice and can say he delivered on every suggestion. I found myself visiting many of the places he suggested more than once. What made my experience at TLR was Norman’s help and guidance throughout the entirety of my stay. Norman helped me with airport transfers, massage places, and critical advice on which doctors surgery to attend having received a nasty surfing injury and subsequent 5 stiches to my forehead. On every occasion I needed help or suggestions Norman would reply to my WhatsApp messages quickly despite him being away on his own little holiday in Manilla. Nothing was too much trouble for Norman. I felt he bent over backwards to assist with anything and everything to ensure I was happy and looked after. It was truly a service I have never received. The location of TLR is a little away from the main stretch. By this I mean maybe a 3-5 minute scooter ride (up to 15-20 minutes depending on time of day if you are heading to Cloud 9 region). It’s a nice ride\drive and was never a problem. The location suited me as it is away from the busy areas where it could have been louder. The nightlife in Siargao I imagine could kick on. To know I was staying a little out of town perched on top of a hill in a boutique hotel with 6 rooms guaranteed peace and quiet. An added bonus were no roosters! I did hear many roosters down the hill when I ventured out. I slept well every night.

Very friendly and caring owner. He helps to order a transfer/excursion/motorbike rental and solve other issues. Beautiful green area, lovely dogs. Very clean and comfortable. There is a shared kitchen where you can prepare meals. Tea, coffee and water are free. Very good place. We really want to return.

PEPAYEN INN Homestay er staðsett í General Luna, 400 metra frá General Luna-ströndinni og býður upp á gistirými með ókeypis WiFi og ókeypis einkabílastæði. The location is the best. The Restaurants are near there. The place is quiet and super clean. The owner is super friendly and you can arrange with her the tours in the Island.

RedDot Guest House býður upp á gistirými með svölum, í um 12 km fjarlægð frá Naked Island. Heimagistingin er 3,1 km frá Cloud 9 Surfing Area. Daku-eyja er 6 km frá RedDot Guest House. I had a wonderful stay here, Karay was a very generous and accommodating host even gifting me pan de coco and ice cream! The property was quiet at night and also was conveniently located close to town by scooter. Thanks again for the stay!

Amihan Bungalows er staðsett í General Luna á Siargao-eyju og er með verönd. Meðal aðstöðu á gististaðnum er farangursgeymsla og þrifaþjónusta ásamt ókeypis WiFi hvarvetna. This is a fantastic place to stay in Siargao! The bungalows are exactly as in the pictures (including hot water and AC) and very close to Cloud 9 (walking distance) and to some restaurants. It is also a ~10 min drive to General Luna, so it is a very quite place. The staff (Larry) helped us organise different activities during our stay (e.g. surfing, island hopping, renting a motorbike, transport from/to the airport) and was always available for any question we had. Plus, the front porch was fantastic for resting!

Masayay Homestay With er staðsett í aðeins 26 km fjarlægð frá bergskirkjunum Magpusvako. Starlink WiFi býður upp á gistingu í Santa Monica með aðgangi að garði, verönd og sameiginlegu eldhúsi. Wow, this booking was the best we have ever made ever! From the moment we arrived, we received a warm welcome and were treated like family, we never felt like strangers. They even took us to a local fiesta to experience the neighborhood tradition, to eat in different houses. The internet was strong, and Mama Fe always cooked delicious meals for us, as we ate as a family. The location was perfect, with beaches and cafes within walking distance. If you're looking for a peaceful stay away from the crowded areas, this is the place to be! We not only met friends but also felt like we became part of a new family. Originally planning to stay for only 5 nights, we ended up extending our stay just to be with them. The entire Escobal family, including Leemark, Migs, Mama and Papa, are truly gems of Siargao. They are incredibly kind-hearted people who made us feel at home away from home.

Graphide Inn er staðsett í General Luna, í innan við 100 metra fjarlægð frá General Luna-ströndinni og 800 metra frá Guyam-eyjunni. 1. Location is perfect. Close to EVERYTHING but not too much. The place is peaceful even thought it's just a few steps away from restaurants and bars. The ammenities were great. They even threw in more complimentary stuff. They have a fridge and a coffee maker, how cool is that? Their staff are also very friendly and nice. They always make sure all of your concerns are addressed right away. That is if you even have any concerns at all since they've got all covered.

Noguerra Homestay er staðsett í aðeins 1,2 km fjarlægð frá General Luna-ströndinni og býður upp á gistirými í General Luna með aðgangi að garði, grillaðstöðu og herbergisþjónustu. Jacklyn the manager is super friendly and tries to help and support wherever she can. I had here and there problems with the Wifi and she put another wifi enforcer in my room! I stayed four weeks at Noguerra and really felt home. I felt in love with their dogs (Papi & Soma) which are super protective and once they get to know you, they give so much love. The location is a 3min scooter drive away from main road. Its a quiet place compared to other streets. The homestay has its own generator which is helpful when there is no electricity on the island. The kitchen has everything you need and you get a big water dispenser. The bedroom aircon works just fine, the room temperature will be cool to sleep.
