Our stay was a very special and unique experience. The village is being taken care of very thoughtfully. It was definitely one of our highlights during our trip through Oman.

Nhar Accommodation House has a terrace and a shared lounge in Sohar. All rooms boast a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a private bathroom. Great location facing the sea - you could easily spend a day on the beautiful and spacious veranda just watching the fishermen, the people walking, the sunrise, the seagulls and much much more. The rooms are wide and nice, the place is super clean, only this strange Omani habit of building a shower next to the toilet with no separation, so you get the place all flooded up until it dries up 48 minutes later. And remember, space is definitely not the issue. The staff were super friendly and try to please you all the time. It is not really a hotel, more like a guest house with very few rooms, which makes this place quite special. Price is also very reasonable. Recommended.

Great base on the off-road route from al hamra to wadi bani auf. Great for hiking or canyoning. Super accommodating to supply a late dinner after my arrival :)

The guest house is run by two very hospitable and friendly brothers, who originate from the nearby village. The house was built by them in a charming and authentic Omani style. From its terraces there is a breathtaking view of the high mountains and village. The silence is welcoming to the soul. There are walks and hikes that can be taken starting from the guesthouse or the 2 minute steep drive to the village below. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bathroom and shower are simple, clean and functional. Our supper and breakfast were homemade and delicious. The were served on one of the terraces. We would highly recommend this guesthouse to experience an authentic stay in Oman. Thank you very much for an unforgettable stay.
