This property was a joy to stay in. It was full of charm. The owner prepared a fire in the fire place for us. Everything was available for our complementary breakfast. The owner was not on site. But was available with any questions we might have.

There is a children's playground and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. very friendly and helpful hostess, she did some washing for me and I had to insist on paying her (she didn't want to take any money). The location was very remote, with no nearby restaurants. Again, the hostess offered us some food, but we managed on our own supplies. She also suggested walks in the area and further afield.

Kaniere Hotel is an old authentic Kiwi country pub with bar and restaurant only 5 minutes' drive or 40 minutes' walk from Hokitika Township. Free WiFi is featured and the hotel is dog friendly. The owner here is a very nice man. Give us a bigger room which is appreciated. Everything is so clean. Even milk is free. I have a good time here.
