It's a beautiful studio, high quality furnishings and exceptionally well decorated and equipped with everything you need. I was even welcomed with freshly home made brownies! I came to Taupo for the Ironman race and it was a perfect choice. The owners were even kind enough to wash my kit and had prepared me some lovely food for after the race. I cannot recommend highly enough!

The Loft Bed and Breakfast, a property with a garden, is set in Taupo, 38 km from Orakei Korako - The Hidden Valley, 5.5 km from Great Lake Convention Centre, as well as 6.9 km from Huka Prawn Park. A beautiful house, very kind and helpful hosts, very good breakfast with great coffee. The room had a good size. We felt very welcome and enjoyed chatting with Mary and Ian over breakfast. Good place for trips in the region outside Taupo away from the busy lakefront, which is what we were looking for.

Just 2 minutes’ walk from Lake Taupo, Acapulco Motor Inn offers air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen satellite TV and a DVD player. We had a 2 bedroom hotel room. The beds were comfortable, breakfast was included. The hotel is in a nice location near the lake, free parking.
