Opononi
Wisteria Way is a recently renovated guest house in Opononi, where guests can make the most of its garden and shared lounge. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. Bruce and Teresa were fabulous hosts! Our cottage was so romantic and cozy. I never rent a place where I have to share a bathroom, but I made an exception. I'm so glad I did! They had three toilet rooms, two with showers. They were extremely clean and spacious. The BEST part of it was that it made us go outside at night and see the beauty. Unfortunately, it was a cloudy day, but on a clear night...OMG! The shared kitchen was a HUGE bonus. It was well equipped with a full size refrigerator, oven, stove, and all the utensils necessary to make a fabulous meal. The three cottages are amongst the enormous garden and you feel like you are living in a fairytale! I highly recommend this place and it's so close to the big Kauri trees!
Omapere
Situated in Omapere, 2.7 km from Opononi Beach, The Healthy Guesthouse features a garden and views of the sea. This guest house features free private parking and a shared kitchen. In good weather, guests are welcome to sit outside. Awesome place with stunning views and a lovely atmosphere. The house is magnificent, clean, and full of sun—a beautiful big kitchen and lots of healthy groceries like nuts, seeds...for free to use. The room was very tidy and comfortable!
Rawene
Situated in Rawene in the Northland region, Marriners Luxury Guesthouse has a patio and pool views. The property features garden and inner courtyard views. There is a barbecue and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. The guesthouse was stunning with no detail missed. Robyn prepared lamb shanks for us for dinner and they were delicious. Unfortunately we think we stayed at the best accommodation early in our trip and nothing else will begin to compare. Great location and wonderful place to stay, had everything you could think of and need and lots of little extras. Thank you for the book, I work in a primary school and will be taking it to work with me. Loved the spa pool, host was very friendly and informative. Would def stay again,
Our unit was very clean and the area was very quiet and in a great location across the road from the beach and close to local stores
Exceeded our expectations. Great location overlooking Hokianga Harbour. Very quiet with great views. The little cabin was well appointed for a 1-2 night stay as it has no cooking facilities other than a microwave, which we knew about. Adding barbeque facilities would be the icing on the cake. The fact you have to wash your dishes outside in a sink under a covered area did not detract from the appeal of the property
Incredible facilities. Hotel-style bathroom (amazing after being used to hostel bathrooms!), and lovely kitchen and common area with TV, books etc. Quiet location. Owners were lovely and the right amount of being involved without intruding on my stay
Lovely set up, loved the garden. We saw fantail and Monarch butterflies. Great kitchen facilities and the showers were good. So quiet and quaint.
A wonderful place! Very dear hosts. Nice and quiet, everything is designed with love, everything is super clean and still new. An extremely pretty flower garden makes the complex a feel-good place.

The grounds are very charming as a lot of attention is given to small and lovely details. The cabins are very nice, spotless and the beds were great. The commmunal kitchen is very well equipped and really inviting. The garden is a juwel - everything arranged and kept with so much care. Teresa and Bruce are lovely hosts, very kind and helpful. The Cafe and Shop on the premises is very cute. We would definately recommend the place!
Great location, Candy and Dave made us most welcome, great hosts. It had more than we expected, best place we have stayed in, very good value for money, and that includes many motels, holiday homes etc in Australia, NZ and Fiji etc. PS you don't need a key, its that safe.
