The Groningen train station is 3 km away and is within 15 minutes by bus. The lively Groningen city centre is a 25-minute walk. The room was cosy with great natural lighting through two windows facing a garden and the back street. The in-room lavatory and mirror were a plus since the bathroom and shower were shared. The kitchen with microwave and hotplates and amenities was the right size for cooking meals and store food in the fridge. The breakfasts was excellent! Cleanliness was top at all times.

For added privacy, the accommodation has a private entrance and soundproofing.

A very warm welcome by the hosts, felt like I was a distant cousin coming to visit them. They were enthusiastic to explain everything about their place in Haren. On the property there was a small but lively garden which had a pond with tiny red fish swimming in it. Room itself was bigger than I expected and had a kitchen in it. Complimentary tea and coffee were included. For this price you cannot get a better deal near Groningen.
