Beautiful apartment with everything you need in a central location. Good base for canyon tour. Lovely host.

The apartment location is great! The host was very nice, friendly and full of useful recommendations. The kitchen was well equipped and the space was great for the four of us. If you’re planning to do el Cañon de Somoto, this place is perfect to drive there and be back to a nice cosy place. There are many restaurants in the town and if you check with the host, I’m sure she’ll let you know what are the best options.

Hostal San José is absolutely fantastic. The staff will help you with anything and they know what hospitality truly means. 10 out of 10!

Sandra ist the nicest host possible! She even spend her free day with us (which was my birthday) and took us to a lake and she even gave me a little birthday present <3 And the accommodation is very nice and clean.

This stay was great! The owner of the hostel is the best! He took us on a really nice canyoning trip and knows a lot about the area! The breakfast is also of good quality. He even bought us tickets for the expreso bus to Managua. We really recommend this place!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hostal San José. The hostel and rooms are very clean, well furnished and decorated. The staff is super nice and the two dogs lovely. We're really sad that we just stayed for one night. The hostel, Somoto and the surrounding is worth to stay for a while!

Good value for your money. Extremely friendly host with 2 cute little dogs. You can choose your breakfast: fruits with toasts/pancakes or tipico.
