I don't usually "do" shared bathrooms but would absolutely recommend this place as its so clean and there are more than enough bathrooms for everyone.

Old Town Guest House is just 800 metres from the popular Jonker Street and 900 metres from Mahkota Parade. It offers rooms with complimentary Wi-Fi access. The couple who own it are beyond lovely. Super helpful if you have any questions and just want to make sure you have the best time not only in Melaka but across Malaysia. The cakes in the morning were sooo good and coffees and teas available if you want them.
