7.8 km from Fukuura Tunnel, guesthouse碧 is a recently renovated property situated in Okinoshima and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. It's a very cute guesthouse with the most welcoming hosts. The guesthouse is located right next to a little secret path to the sea and next to a little seaside town with amazing rock formations and views. I was travelling without a car and the public transport is a little difficult, so the hosts always made sure that I can get to places without any issues.

Set just 14 km from Tamawakasu-mikoto Shrine, 一棟貸し宿Kusuburu House chartered accommodation provides accommodation in Okinoshima with access to a garden, a bar, as well as luggage storage space. The house is equipped with traditional Japanese furniture and really cute souvenirs. The host couple was super friendly and we can only recommend having dinnner at Kusuburu house - the food was delicious. We even went fishing with the host and he prepared the fish we caught right after as Sashimi and fried fish - one of our favorite experiences during our four weeks in Japan. We really hope to be able to visit Kusuburu House one day again.

Guest House Nakamura is situated in Ama. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. What a welcoming, wonderful atmosphere! It warmed my tired heart. Tatsuya-san, Shino-san... everyone! They all treated me like an old friend even though I was the only foreigner around. On the first night, they invited me downstairs for fireworks; on the second, they hosted a folk concert in the attached restaurant; on the third, I ate at the restaurant and had a wonderful meal. The futon was comfortable, the bathrooms were spotless, and the room was large and traditional. Amazing people and an excellent stay.
