The owners are lovely and really really hospitable people (with a good sense of humour too). I loved the authentic Japanese experience and was kindly driven to the onsen 3 times!! Hirosaki itself is beautiful and the castle is about a 35 minute walk away, although I personally recommend the modern art museum.

Tanehachi Farm Guesthouse - Vacation STAY 29709v asub Aomoris, 19 km kaugusel Aomorist. Prefectural Kyodokan asub Aomori jaamast ja Aomori lahe sillast 21 km kaugusel. Kohapeal on tasuta eraparkla. I like the guesthouse is surrounded by the nature, the closest train station is Asamushi station, it’s about 5-6 stops away from Aomori station. The guesthouse owner Taku can offer pick-up/drop-off at Asamushi station. BTW, Asamushi is famous for onsen(hot spring). Since the house is in the middle of nature so there’s no restaurants or convenience stores nearby, but you can purchase dinner and breakfast, Taku’s wife, Kaori, makes very delicious and healthy food, must try it!

Just in love with this hostel and place 🙏 Arrived here by bike and spent 3 days / 4 nights. Warm welcome from the ladies, great breakfast, typical diner for an extra 1000 yens. We were not a lot of guests so alone in my dormitory, plenty of space to chill on rainy days. Lake, temple, gorge, apple pie coffe all is calm and beautiful around !
