Eric the Red is a perfectly located Guest House in Reykjavik just 60m/200ft from Hallgrímskirkja Church which is the biggest church and single most central point in Reykjavik, we are in short walking... We stayed in the garden house mid May. Despite our earlier misgivings, our studio was warm, not to say hot, probably thanks to a floor heating. The studio was small but had all the essentials incl. a desk and chair where one could work if required. Also, despite the fact that the place is very central just opposite the cathedral, the garden is very quiet. Everything was clean and neat, comfy bed, an electric kettle was provided. We could also go up to the main house kitchen and lounge for coffee. A kitchen for guests is provided if required. The host seems to be only intermittently present but this did not bother us since we did not have any issues, key in the lock, etc. Great location to see the city. The price was competitive -- esp. when compared to other venues that we inspected. What's not to like?

Located in Álftanes, a 15-minute drive from central Reykjavík, Eyvindarholt Guesthouse features bright and modern accommodation with free WiFi, scenic views, as well as Icelandic art and design. Really quiet and cozy place with a very nice host! We loved our stay here and wish we did it for more than one night. Will stay here again without a doubt!

Refurinn Reykjavik Guesthouse har ett perfekt läge i området Vesturbær i Reykjavik, 17 minuters promenad från Hallgrímskirkja, 1,6 km från Solfar Sun Voyager och 3,6 km från The Pearl. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there's a washing machine too. Room was really cute, there were enough bathrooms, everything was great! It's also very central and close to bars and restaurants without bringing the main street with the shops.
