We had a very nice stay at Macaca Resort. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. The staff is very friendly and the food is very good. Our guide was very helpful and easily organised by the resort. We didn’t want to leave!

If you like the beach, nature and quietness than you have to go here. We spend some lovely days relaxing, hiking in the forest, visiting small villages with the motor bike. The host and his wife are very friendly and helpful and the food was always delicious.

Set in Bitung, Tangkoko Lodge features a garden, terrace and free WiFi. There is a restaurant serving American cuisine, and free private parking is available. The whole experience was great. The lodge is located very close to the national park, within walking distance. The rooms are clean, comfy, large and equipped with AC. The lodge provides guides into the forest. The prices as of March 2024 are 250,000pp for morning tours and 150,000pp for night tours. This doesn't include the 100,000 park fee per person. We were very lucky to be paired with Roy. He spotted things we never would have been able to, he has so much knowledge about the park, the animals and the area, and best of all, he's a cool guy. He's super friendly and easy to talk to, we cannot recommend him enough. For an extra cost the lodge can also provide food. It is so cheap and really incredible cooking. Thank you to all the people that made our stay so much fun!

Istanaku Guesthouse 2, a property with a shared lounge, is located in Manado, 1.8 km from Megamas Beach, 1.4 km from Manado Harbor, as well as 27 km from Mount Lokon. The staff were over the top friendly and helpful and welcomed us with big smiles despite our arrival at around midnight and an early morning departure at 6am the next morning! We were so blown away we booked another night before we depart Manado. Rooms were comfortable, spotlessly clean, air conditioned, and cold filtered (reverse osmosis) water was provided in the hallway. Wifi and air conditioning worked great and the space is beautifully decorated with funky murals and artwork. Staff were very helpful with our bags and arranging an early morning transfer.
