Took about 5-8 minutes drive from station itself and easy way to go Ketapang area. Take a local uber to take you to Ketapang harbour if you would like to cross by ferry ship to Bali. Clean and neat place, comfort room and absolutely friendly owner, you will find a new local's life experience there. I arrived in midnight time and the staff was happy to help, they were really accomodate us. Amazing banyuwangi

Localizado a 31 km de Watu Dodol, em Banyuwangi, o Mi Casa - The gem of Ijen oferece acomodações com área de estar. This place is so special! Surrounded by jungle and wildlife. Beautiful CLEAN (no trash) stream on the property, and if you are lucky, the owners will have a rescue otter in their care that you can visit. The structures are wooden joglo type buildings, so open air and more rustic. BUT - Erica does an AMAZING job of keeping it all so clean. I don't know how she does it (we live in Indonesia and know how hard it is to keep things clean). Just little things like the light fixtures and fans being spider and bug free. This is a treat for a place in the middle of a jungle! But - westerners be aware - you will be STAYIN IN A JUNGLE - there WILL be wildlife and small lizards. So you may come across a few ants in your kitchen or a tiny piece of lizard poo somewhere. BUT - you are IN THE JUNGLE - please do not complain. This couple works SO Hard to make this place clean and enjoyable, and one of the wonderful thinks about it is that it is in nature, and the natural habitat keeps it all healthy. So - if you want a sterile environment, go to a traditional cement hotel. But if you want a restful place to stay after hiking Ijen, or you want to enjoy nature and take a break from the city, wow, this place is so special. If we didn't live 7 hours away, we would make this place an annual destination. Thank you Mark and Erica for your care and attention.

Oferecendo vista da montanha, o Mountain Ecolodge é uma acomodação situada em Gubukklakah, a 24 km do Museu Bentoel e a 25 km do Bima Sakti Hall. This is the biggest surprise of my Indonesia trip! This place located in a small town near Malang. It runs by a family and Mrs. Mary took 2 of her independent rooms as hotel. There is super nice mountain view and the whole atmosphere is sooo chill. The room is quite big. The host even gave us some passion fruits and papaya grown from their farm. It is not far from Mt. Bromo and Tumpak Sewu - both takes 1.5h to drive there. There are hardly any tourists in this small town and when we were walking to a restaurant, the people were so curious and greeting us friendly, the kids on the street waved to us and say hello. It was such an amazing experience! The sunset of with rice field view in the small town is also really really beautiful. There is also a good and modern restaurant 20 min walk from our stay and it is designed to see the sunset with a big balcony, the food is very nice too
