Set in Skiathos Town, 650 metres from Skiathos Plakes Beach, 8kto offers air-conditioned accommodation and a shared lounge. Oh wow, where to start? Firstly, the staff were absolutely lovely — warm, friendly, and absolutely helpful! Then there's the hotel itself: perfectly situated in the town centre, within just a few minutes' walk to the main street, there was ready access to cafés, restaurants, shops, mini-markets, and the port. Spotless and great-looking throughout, we took the largest room on the second floor, and it was brilliant — bright, comfortable, a fantastic shower, a wardrobe for all of our clothes (extremely important, as we stayed there two weeks). We stayed in the two weeks of July to the first week of August 2023, right in the middle of a fiendish heatwave, but the room's air conditioner made sleeping very comfortable, and it was a quiet machine, to boot. Now, I'm saving the best for last ... the bed: we've never slept on such a comfortable hotel bed. Ever. This was The Bed of The Gods, a Cocomat one, and it was such a wonderful thing!
