This family run guest house helped us feel at home when we most needed to feel comfortable. No one likes getting sick while on vacation, but our son managed to catch a very bad bug and needed medical attention. That's when Deborah, the host, helped us. She gave us information about British system, and was flexible about some of the breakfast issues (son wouldn't eat, etc). She's very gracious! As for the property, our room was spacious, with two sitting chairs overlooking the streets below. Our room (a triple) had a fridge ) Because we had to stay in, it turned out to be a great place to relax while my son slept (unlike some cramped rooms). If weather is nasty, I can imagine people wanted to stay in, have tea, and read. Overall, it's great to see that local, family guest houses still exist. And ones like this one, managed by Deborah, are a wonderful place to stay.

Situated in South Yorkshire, the Wortley Cottage Guest House is in the historic village of Wortley. very pleasant stay lovely guest house very quite just what you need after a hard day work

This hotel is set in the stunning Mayfield Valley amid picturesque countryside on the edge of the Peak District. The Norfolk Arms is a recently renovated, historic Grade II-listed coaching inn. Adorable little place and so cozy! Food and drinks were delicious as well. Staff was very accommodating to my fiancé who is vegan. Just a short walk to the Alpaca farm where you can fly owls, walk alpacas and meet all sorts of new animal friends. Perfect relaxing little getaway and family friendly as well!

The owner is a friendly person. He was trying to provide any help needed. He was very flexible on checking out. I stayed an extra couple of hours.

The owner Tracy was incredibly friendly, funny and helpful. It was like I was staying with an old friend! Her dog and cat were a lovely addition to the stay, too, as I am a big animal lover. Her cat curled up on my lap when I was working in my comfy room on the top floor, and I could not have been happier!

The Old Crown Inn offers pub accommodation situated in Handsworth, Sheffield. The inn features an on-site bar that hosts live entertainment every Saturday night from 21:00 to 01:00. This is a homely place. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff are very accommodating and warm. I stayed on a Saturday night, so I treated myself to Sunday lunch. What fabulous homemade food at such a good price! I highly recommend this place for a taste of authentic Yorkshire hospitality. It's a yes from me.
