This place is consistently great which is why we keep returning again and again. Stephanie has everything running to perfection. The location is brilliant for walking in the area. The accomodation itself has everything on the doorstep. Restaurant, pubs, breakfast cafe and the shops in the main street.

Nine King Street Seahouses room only accommodation is located in Seahouses, 5.5 km from Bamburgh Castle, 25 km from Alnwick Castle, and 33 km from Lindisfarne Castle. Extremely tidy and clean, very well decorated and lovely. Very well fitted with everything you need, lovely host.

Set in Alnwick and only 700 metres from Alnwick Castle, Oronsay Guest House offers accommodation with city views, free WiFi and free private parking. Really lovely property, well looked after, perfectly located. A great place to spend a few days.

Situated in Hexham, 34 km from MetroCentre, The Coach and Horses has a shared lounge, a bar and a tennis court. Warm welcome and comfortable, well appointed room. Breakfast was delicious with generous helpings. I arrived later and especially enjoyed having a glass of wine brought to my room.

Set in Wooler, 28 km from Bamburgh Castle, Yearle House offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a shared lounge. We used Yearle House as a centre for completing the 2nd three day section of the St. Cuthberts Way path. Local taxi service ( Des Hood) was excellent for taking us to our start point etc. Yearle House is exceptional. If you are up for a bit of English, country-house grandeur, this is it. Mylo and Poppy are superb hosts. Breakfast was in a spacious dining room overlooking the garden and fields beyond. The coffee (my yardstick for breakfast reviews) was, I'm pleased to say, unlimited in quantity and at the top end of taste. As for the smoked trout and perfectly au-point, 'strangled' eggs...to die for. Yearle House is big. The bedroom is big. The bathroom is huge, bigger than the average B&B bedroom. The staircase is big with ancestral oil portraits lining the walls. The living room is vast and comfortable and beautifully furnished with a wood burner to add to the relaxing ambience. A well stocked drinks fridge etc at pretty-much, at-cost prices. A 'pantry' upstairs with all manner of coffee and teas and a daily, home-made, sweet treat. Superb and very quiet location a mile or so from Wooler which has an excellent, and very popular, restaurant, the Milan. This is a first-class B&B and I can simply confirm the many previous glowing reviews!

I booked this for my son who was attending a wedding at Le Petite Chateau - the room was clean and comfortable and the customer service was absolutely amazing - very accommodating and extremely helpful Thank You !!!

Butterchurn Guest House, a property with a shared lounge, is located in Otterburn, 44 km from Alnwick Castle, 50 km from St James' Park, as well as 22 km from Wallington. Stayed for two nights as had a wedding nearby - staff were excellent and catered to our every need, perfect set up for us as we were travelling with a toddler, room was spacious and had everything, and had a lovely living space we could relax once baby was asleep, breakfast was also great- everything you could want! Would recommend!
