Overlooking picturesque hills, Meadowcroft Country Guesthouse is a family-run guest house in the tranquil Village of Ings, 2 miles from Windermere. There is free Wi-Fi in the bedrooms. Excellent B&B. Nicely furnished. Very nice owners. Upstairs lounge provided small refrigerator and microwave with utensils and wine glasses for our use. Very nice breakfast. Great shower.

The Westbourne is a beautiful guest house set in the peaceful area below Biskey Howe in the Lake District. Bedrooms feature walk-in-shower rooms, luxurious toiletries and large fluffy towels. Lovely warm welcome, beautiful room, spotlessly clean. The only place we have stayed which was better in reality than the advertising photos. Attention to detail was excellent, down to the herbal tea selection in the room.

Jerichos is a contemporary family-run guest house with stylish decor situated on a quiet side street in the heart of Windermere village. There is free Wi-Fi and free ample private parking. Perfectly located on a gorgeous and quiet street, with their own parking spaces. It's just one short block from all of the shops in Windermere, and a great hike to the lookout point for the views. Hop in your car for a short journey to the lake and more shops and restaurants. Beautifully decorated, quiet, and inviting for a night in with a glass of wine in the lobby. The breakfast was lovely too, and the staff were very friendly. Loved all of the details in the room and the property. If you're interested in less touristy food, it's only a 30 minute drive to Ambleside, which has some fantastic restaurants and less tourists.

Just 1 mile from Lake Windermere this beautiful Victorian house is set in a peaceful location between Windermere and Bowness. Location excellent, beautiful house, comfortable bed and super pillows. Amazing quality breakfast. Great friendly, highly efficient staff. Would definitely return. Many thanks to the staff and owner.

The Log House is located in Ambleside, 16 km from Lake Windermere, 29 km from Derwentwater, as well as 34 km from Muncaster Castle. Facilities as seen, very good decoration, and quality. Very nice bathroom with large space.

Situated in Ambleside and only 11 km from Lake Windermere, Yewfield Vegetarian Guest house features accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. I liked everything about Yewfield Vegetarian Guesthouse. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Derek went the extra mile to accommodate my son at the last minute. The room was lovely and comfortable. The breakfast was fresh, delicious and wholesome. Best dinner I've had in a long time. We could do our own washing which was a bonus I did not expect. There were lovely walks from the front door. Peaceful. An olde worlde establishment which one does not encounter often. We spent 5 nights there. Thank you to all the staff - Linda, Emma, Janka and Magdalena. You were fantastic :)

Featuring garden views, Ellerhow features accommodation with patio, around 1.1 km from World of Beatrix Potter. The room and the services were excellent! The fridge and the detail of the milk, amazing!
