Excellent location, food and staff were so accommodating as we had a small dog in our group (he stayed at the Royal Lodge) and breakfast was moved and service in the bar area to suit him! Staff were also very forgiving when we set off the fire alarm with a birthday cake candle ! The location is fantastic as we were lucky enough to have the room with balcony overlooking the rope ferry etc !

Brandon Lodge is a professionally converted 19th-century building within the city boundaries, 1 mile from the centre, 2 miles from the train station and within walking distance of a frequent bus... Breakfast excellent. Staff very friendly.

This is a beautiful well appointed apartment above the pub. Wood burning fire, great kitchenette spacious and clean. It’s was getting late in the day tired from driving all day from Scotland and booked at the last minute. Enjoyed a beautiful pub meal in a real authentic English style pub. Thank you for your hospitality!
