The Hoops Inn & Country Hotel is a Grade II listed property nestled within unspoilt countryside and 5 minutes’ drive from a scenic coastal walk. We were in the area for one night and were delighted to find this gem! We live in Germany so staying in a country pub/hotel is always a treat for us, and this did not disappoint. We have 2 little dogs who were very welcome in both the pub and the room (and were even given treats and a cheeky sausage by the wonderful staff!). Our check in was smooth and we were able to book a table for dinner with ease. The staff were all super attentive and engaging. The room was comfortable and was everything we needed - even if the bed was a tad small, it still provided us with a solid nights sleep. However, without a doubt, the pinnacle of this stay was the food!! It was EXCEPTIONAL! And this is not exceptional for a pub, it was exceptional compared to anything! The duck was genuinely one of the best cooked and tastiest we’ve ever had! We’ve already recommended it to people and we are seeing how we can visit again on our next visit. Whether you stay for a night or not, the food HAS to be tried! Book a table and thank us later!

Gistihús við sjávarsíðuna steinsnar frá ströndinniGististaðurinn er með garð og er staðsettur í Dawlish, í 2,4 km fjarlægð frá ströndinni Teignmouth Town Beach, í 2,7 km fjarlægð frá Red Rock Beach og... A lovely little studio with nicely stocked facilities. The sheets were lovely and soft, the bed very comfortable. There was a TV which we used to snuggle and watch a film on in the evening as it had Netflix access (may have also had others, we didn't check past Netflix). Everything was very clean and I always got a quick response if I needed help. Also, the scones, jam and cream in the fridge was a lovely surprise. I couldn't recommend this little place enough.

The Mary Tavy Inn er með garð, sameiginlega setustofu, veitingastað og bar í Tavistock. Super nice hotel with new layout in an ild fashioned, but fashinable way. Rooms are pretty, clean and comfortable. Restaurant is comfy with many fake fire places and inviting to stay for a game of chess. Outside lovely view and garden. Food in the restaurant was really delicious.

The view from our room was brilliant—absolutely brilliant! The breakfast was to die for, and the hosts were welcoming, helpful, and great chefs!

Lovely welcome from our host, Chris, who was lovely with our grandson, showing him the family guinea pigs. The family room we had was huge, with a spacious en suite. Everything was super clean, and breakfast was served to the conservatory table; a tray piled with cereals, fruit, yogurts, toast and warm croissants was plentiful, and the coffee was fresh and refills were happily provided. Chris also catered for a gluten free eater with gf crumpets and granola. The house is a one minute walk from all the shops and places to eat in Braunton-, which is a really nice village. Off road parking was useful, and the gorgeous beaches at Saunton Sands and Croyde Bay area both only a 10-15 minute drive away.

A lovely pub /Inn, Graham and Sue were amazing. On arrival I was greeted with a warm welcome. The staff knew my name which was very nice..The room exceeded my expectations, it was very clean.The bar service and food was outstanding. Graham and Sue treated me like family and nothing was too much trouble, they went above and beyond. They are the loveliest hosts ever and had the pleasure to meet., 10/10..❤️❤️❤️
