On our cycling trip from Amsterdam to Prague we spent a night at Pension Berten. Nice large room and a wonderful breakfast. But the best part was our enthusiastic host. Unfortunately we were on a mission to get to Prague but if we visit Strašice next time well take some time to explore the surroundings.

After an eventful day biking (slipping on a tram rail in Prague and as a result hurting my knee) we arrived at Penzion Harmony Javornik in Ctyrkoly. I had booked a room on the third floor which -because of my knee- was very difficult to reach. Because of this, the owners -without any extra cost- provided me and my husband with a ‘superior room’on the first floor. This was so considerate of them! While staying in my room several times staff came in to check if I was all right. Even giving me some plasters for the wound. On top of all of this, the hotel was in a beautiful spot and the food was very good (dinner and breakfast). Needless to say that I am very gratefull and would recommend this pension to anyone who is looking for a quiet beautiful place at a biking distance to the south of Prague.

Design Pension Twenty 20 ligger i Poděbrady, 26 km från Park Mirakulum, och har en trädgård, rökfria rum samt gratis WiFi. Oh, wow! This modern apartment in the heart of Podebrady was simply amazing! It had everything I needed for a cosy and comfortable stay. The place was super clean and had this cool, modern vibe that I loved. I only booked it for one night at the beginning of my vacation, but now I totally regret not staying for a few more days. The beds were like sleeping on clouds, so you bet I got some good rest. The kitchen was awesome, complete with a fridge – a total lifesaver for me! I enjoy having my snacks and drinks at hand, you know? Plus, downstairs, there was this cute café where I got to kickstart my day with some quality coffee. Perfect way to start any morning! Oh, one more awesome thing about this place – there was parking available just around the corner at a super reasonable price (100 CZK per night). So, if you're traveling by car, no worries at all! Honestly, I can't recommend this place enough. If you're heading to Podebrady, do yourself a favour and book this apartment. It's a gem, and you won't be disappointed. I'm already dreaming about going back there!
