Robert made our experience unique! He gave us all the best tips of the island because he knows it really well and he made a personal tour with us! He was adorable and made everything easy for us, from the kite surf lessons to the scuba diving and the restaurants! One day we went fishing in his boat! The apartment is very comfortable and the terrace is amazing, the location is perfect because everything is near and walking distance! Getting to visit Sal with Robert it is a must, is an experience you can not have in any other apartment or hotel. We are coming back for sure

The neighborhood where the hotel is located is quiet and well-served, perfect for relaxing and immersing yourself in the island’s beauty. Featuring a garden and views of sea, Guesthouse Le Châtelain is a recently renovated bed and breakfast set in Santa Maria, 1.5 km from Praia da Ponta Preta. 20 out of 10 points for the host :D Peter gave us a warm welcome and gave us all the information we needed in order to have a great stay. He was reachable all the time and was there when we had questions. The kitchen has everything you need to cook(it even had more equipment than what I have at home in my own kitchen e.g. orange juice maker). The accommodation also offers free water which is drinkable and a lot of towels, soap, a hairdryer and even a welcome bottle of wine. Room is very clean and has mosquito protection on the balconies. On the top of the accommodation you can find a beautiful terrace to relax and hang your clothes after washing them (washing machine available in the accommodation). Peter sent us so many suggestions and names of people that offer activities, everyone will find something they like. The accommodation is located in villa verde which is almost like a small village for itself with its own supermarket which is open until 8pm. Transportation to the city is free. Bikini beach is super close and beautiful. Also u get 15% off at Bo Beach Bar.
