Everywhere you turn, it is a picture-perfect scene directly cut from a book or a movie. There are tea sets on table and newly harvested tea. A fruit plate was filled with the day’s fresh choices. Books are real, good books, not those only put there for decoration. The hotel staff was also very helpful. Seeing that we sometimes left our door ajar, she thoughtfully ignited mosquito-repellent herds around the vicinity. It is a place one might feel like living in a dream, surrounded by the ambiance of thousands of years of traditional Chinese culture. The moment you entered the hotel and closed the door behind you, you leave the hustling, bustling world outside, and entered one serene, zen and beautiful.

Suzhou Jade Snow Lodge features accommodation situated 7.8 km from the centre of Suzhou and offers a garden and a terrace. This was a cute lodge along one of the little alleyway canals. It was perfectly located very close to the main Pingjiang Lu strip of shops and to sights like the Humble Administrators Garden but still very quiet and safe. The lodge was tastefully decorated (loved the traditional decor) and the room was very comfortable and clean. The lovely staff were also super helpful and hospitable, sending me all kinds of information and were very responsive - I loved my stay there!
