Yangshuo Sudder Street Guesthouse features modern accommodation and an outdoor pool. The property offers free WiFi and free access to on-site parking. The hotel is nice, with modern design, no TV (which I actually like), and great hostel-like reception with books, fresh water, post cards… washing machines and free washing powder in the last floor and renting motorbikes and bicicles is veeeeeery cheap. The reception guy was AWESOME! He doesn’t stop until he gets you whatever need or wish you have. Even if he doesn’t get any money out of it! Always with a smile, very good English, and with great coffee for a very low price.

Baike Boutique Hotel is located in Longji Rice Terraces and offers a restaurant. Most of its rooms offer priavte balcony with stunning terrace views. This has been the best hotel we’ve been in China so far. Jason and the ladies working there have been outstanding with us, giving us total attention. From the day one they arranged the transportation for us, kept the kitchen open so we could have dinner, and help us with everything. Jason speaks perfect English which helped a lot and the ladies prepared excellent food. The hotel is located in a unique place.

Lost World Sanjiang Guest house provides air-conditioned accommodation in Sanjiang. The accommodation features free WiFi, as well as a terrace and a family-friendly restaurant. Lived in China for 9 years now and this is one of my all time favourites. Accommodation is completely authentic Dong Village guest rooms, plus excellent air con, showers, beds etc. Really thoughtful and high quality renovation, maintaining all of the local features whilst also providing great comfort. Helpful and smiley hospitality provided by Xiao Chen with quality breakfasts and coffee for those who need the morning surge. It is such a beautiful area. The villages have retained their historic feel and there is some truly gorgeous hiking through a nearby valley with rice terraces and tea plantations. Local people are genuinely welcoming and friendly and there is great food to be had in the local family restaurants. This was my second visit. I will undoubtedly return.

Located 2 kilometres from the Xingping Ancient Town district of Yangshuo, Yangshuo Yunshe Mountain Guesthouse features a garden. The Lijiang River is a 10-minute walk away. The boss was very generous allowing us to cook outside food at night using their stove for free. They also gave us a lift by creating to and from the ferry. The whole family were very warm friendly and helpful. then there was the superb location and quiet serene atmosphere and beautiful wooden shack hotel rooms. it felt like going back in time in the best way possible A++

Situated in Ping'an Rice Terrace, Longsheng, Ridge Inn features concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a restaurant, free WiFi and a shared lounge. We arrived at 1.00 am and were still welcomed very friendly by the staff. The family room is spacious with beautiful furniture that suits the building, great view! We had dinner twice and really enjoyed it, especially the stuffed tofu is delicious. Summer and her family are great hosts, Summer helped us with transport and was available for us at any time. Also, the location- on the ridge- at the end of this authentic village has to be mentioned. In the evening, with all the day tourists gone, the tranquil vibe and peace are amazing.

Junshe Boutique Guest House provides comfortable accommodation in Guilin, conveniently located just 1 km away from Seven Star Park. Cleanliness was top-notch. The family at this family owned-venue goes far and beyond to help you with your stay. Loved it!

Just 5 km from Yangshuo, The Giggling Tree is an unique guest house which is located in the tiny village of Little Mountain Gate. The Giggling hotel has great location at the Yulong river. we rented electric scooters to ride along this river. you can also ride to Yangshuo downtown. Kids like the outside swimming pools a lot. they swim twice a day. the large one is 1,40m deep. food is excellent and affordable (chinese and western). kids like the french fries with self made chicken nuggets a lot, we ate other chinese food, all very delicious (salads, eggplant, lemon chicken etc). Employees are very friendly and help with everything. Large rooms have good airconditiing, large comfortable beds (with mosquito nets if needed) and bathrooms are large and very comfortable and stylish. we also took taxi to Guilin (sevenstars park and downtown) and ofcourse we also went to ride boat on the Li river and to dazhai longji rice terraces. Swimming pool was a big suprise and big PLUS.

Offering a restaurant and free bikes, Zen Box House is located in Jiuxian Village, 9 km from Yangshuo city centre. Loved the laid back vibe of the village and the hotel. I was after a retreat from the city and that’s exactly what I got, didn’t want to leave! 老张 is very hospitable - always checking if you’re hungry and then will whip something up in the kitchen. Another guest that arrived said they wanted to hike some of the nearby hills so 老张 was like, ‘let’s go!’ and took us - the entrance is through someone else’s kitchen/back garden so we’d never have got access ourselves. He also mentioned he could take us to places to swim, climb etc. Really love the village atmosphere, everyone knows each other and knows the secret routes/best food spots. Reminded me of my rural village community in the UK. I was able to borrow 老张‘s road bike and cycled to the river to catch one of the rafts, it’s about a ~30min leisurely cycle to get there. There are cycle/foot paths along the river too, so another nice way to experience the scenery. The hotel itself is very quaint. I had one of the Japanese style single rooms and was very happy there, it looks exactly like the picture. They will pre-heat the bed for you in the colder months, nice touch! Water, tissues, towel etc all provided. The toilets and showers are just downstairs, a 10 second walk, and are very pleasant. The toilets are the Japanese ones with heated seats etc. The other helper is also lovely, and she packed my rucksack with fresh pomelo when I set off for my cycle excursion. They grow pomelo etc. beside the house, and also have chickens so eggs fresh too. Loved the rooftop, very zen and great view over the hills. They also have some friendly cats. Will 100% return.

Long Ji One Art Hotel offers peaceful retreat in a bamboo stilted building in Longsheng. Free WiFi access is available. Some units offer stunning views of Longsheng Rice Terrace. This place is magic! Gorgeous decor, homestay feel, incredible staff, gorgeous food, amazing views, peaceful location.
