Casa Esperanza is located a 5-minute tram ride from the centre of Basel and offers free WiFi and a shared terrace with seating area. The rooms all come with a flat-screen TV. Overall, a great experience. I was met by Kai, who took me to my room, and explained everything, including with a lever-arch file of notes. He checked that I had everything I needed, and then left. I didn't need to contact him, but I had all his contact details in case I did. It's a large enough room with beds, a table and a well-enough equipped kitchen, and a fan in case it gets a bit hot. There is enough hanging space in the cupboard. The bathroom is shared with another room (I knew that at the time of booking), and that might not suit everybody, but it was perfectly fine with me. The location is great: about 2-3 blocks from a tram intersection for the Number 1 tram that goes to the main station and to the Messe Convention centre. Other trams are also there, but I did not use them. There are also two largish grocery stores in the vicinity of the tram station.

Set within 1.2 km of Kunstmuseum Basel and 1.5 km of Basel Cathedral in the centre of Basel, Pension Breite offers accommodation with free WiFi and seating area. The kindness of the host, the complementary coffee, water, chocolate etc. in the room, the size of the room, all the details that make you feel welcome. The tram stop (no3) right in front of the accommodation, 10 min. to city center. We also went to the Beyeler Fondation and it took about 30 min by public transport (bus + tram).

Very nice location and neighborhood for work and living, even green areas very close. Great team very friendly and forthcoming to the needs as guest, information available as new comer and tourist. Restaurant just downstairs, laundry included

Situated 1.4 km from Zoological Garden, 2.4 km from Jewish Museum of Basel and 1.8 km from Kunstmuseum Basel, Basel-Stadt Gundeldingen Zimmer 401, WC in the hallway, outside the room offers... Perfect service,reacting to any problem straight away. Clean room,good location.
