Quick search in the booking.com app revealed most of the local properties were unavailable too, so she asked around and found an available room for us.

Located in Dürnstein in the Wachau Valley, just steps away from the Danube River, Winzerhof - Gästehaus Stöger features a garden, a bicycle storage room, and bicycle rental. Absolutely amazing appartement, helpful owners. Breakfast was rich and tastful. Recommended!
