Experiencing the village life was a bonus. In our room i didn't expect running water as i thought they still struggle with water. We did self catering. Dinner time we ate together with the host family traditional food. We had a lovely stay. The guest house is next to main road so you wont get lost.
The host, Sylvia, was an amazing person. Never falling short of going out of her way to make.me.feel welcome.

I also liked that the rooms were very very clean unlike any other accomodation. The place was quiet and serene.

What a great stay. We unfortunately only had two nights here, but were immediately impressed by the warmth and hospitality of the Muke Village residents. Alex was an incredibly friendly, kind and ambitious host who gave us an insight into Zambian life. There is a school next to the guest house and we were even allowed to attend lessons and spend time with the children. We will definitely return - probably even as volunteers - as we felt very comfortable and gained an authentic insight into Zambian culture.
The staff was amazing, especially Natasha and Chris. They went the extra mile to ensure we had a comfortable stay - always kind, friendly, efficient and happy to assist. Perfect place for R&R and some quiet time away from the city center

It's been my second visit to Tabonina Guesthouse and again it's been great! Situated in a lush subtropical garden, the guesthouse is located within 15 mins walking distance from the city center and at the same time a quiet little paradise on its own. Staff are very friendly, absolutely reliable and forthcoming; the owner Laurent has lots of helpful advice for travellers and is genuinely committed to making his guests feel at home. Rooms are comfortable and clean. What else could one wish for? Highly recommendable!
