We stayed over enroute to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park during an extreme heatwave and the guesthouse overall felt cool and inviting. The rooms were comfortable and tastefully furnished. The hosts were friendly and accommodating and breakfast was excellent. Although the establisment is on the N14 running through Olifantshoek, there was no noise from passing traffic and the atmosphere was quiet, laid-back and relaxed. Definitely value for your money.

We did not actually stay at Bowden B&B. When we arrived, the owner - Elsa - met us and explained that our booking for one night B&B could not be honoured. However she had booked us into a very nice Guest House just around the corner and paid for us there. Elsa was very apologetic in her explanation and we were very happy with everythis about our accommodation.

Fantastic, wonderfully furnished and tastefully decorated stopover in Olifantshoek. Far enough from the main road to ensure your sleep is not interrupted by the trucks on the N14. Safe and incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was a treat too. Elsa is a great host who looked after our every need and we wouldn't hesitate to book again.
