A superb place to recover from a long haul flight before moving on to the other destinations in Africa. The rooms are super nice, at a great price, and the staff went above and beyond to help with whatever was needed. Big shopping mall 5 mins Uber away, and they work with a reliable taxi service that can take you back to the airport (I believe their own shuttle can also be arranged). Very friendly owners and staff. Highly recommended.
PS: A small tip. For those who have suffered with the long immigration lines leaving Joburg, there is a less obvious separate entry hall. Walk from Check-In A past the 1st immigration entry, and continue for about 5 mins. Look for the airlines sales offices....it's opposite. Will save you 30 minutes vs the more obvious lines close to Terminal A check-in.

Great location nearby airport. Whole vibe of the place and rooms is very traditional, some great artwork and chandeliers around the place. Garden is stunning and so nice to sit in. The whole estate is in a gated community and then the property itself has a gated complex - felt super safe staying here. Staff were lovely. Breakfast was nice. Tv in room worked great with fast streaming for Netflix ect.

Most comfortable bed on our trip across South Africa. Staff went above and beyond helping us with emergency laundry and helping us order food when we arrived late. Very friendly and accommodating. Gated property. No complaints. Would stay again for sure.

I actually didn’t stay there as when we arrived we were told we’d have to sleep at another guest house as they had no electricity there. Not a problem as it was said it was a municipal issue, however with regards to the pricing it showed that the other guest house was cheaper than what we’d actually paid for .
Excellent value for money, great location, fantastic breakfast. A bonus was the cheese and wine available for everyone at 5pm. Rooms were extremely quiet with no aircraft noise
Great area to visit, quiet and gated area. Close to the shops for quick necessities. It's a very spacious apartment with privacy and everything you need. Ennet was a great host, communicated with us and was available when we contacted her
I booked on the 4th June to check in 17th and check out 18th June. Then check in on my return on 4th July and check out 5th July. Both instances my bookings were mixed up and I was told there was no space and had to be sent to the Nightingale bed and breakfast. This is totally unacceptable by the hosts and such a huge inconvenience to guests. Can they please work on getting their bookings right
I was not expecting much for the price. Colour TV; Fridge; comfortable bed and pillow. A very thick blanket and electric blanket on the lowest setting gave me a great night's sleep. Breakfast was free and nicely cooked. Quiet despite closeness to the airport. Desiree and Stewart were great host who transported me to and from OR Tambo airport for R170 each way. Arrange to meet at Stand 2 (there's no Stand 1!
The guesthouse is beautiful and clean. Situated in a quiet anf safe area. Loved that there was back up power for loadshedding.
The host went all out to provide us with water, due to an unexpected municipal water problem in the area
The staff was incredible. Every single person was so kind and so welcoming. I got ready for my wedding at this guest house and everyone was so accommodating and went out of their way to make it super special. I arrived very late and was greeted with so much kindness and understanding. The guesthouse is stunning and has so many amenities. My husband and I had amazing breakfast the morning after our wedding and the host was so amazing and made sure we had everything we wanted. I would recommend 100% and will personally be back soon!
