Judy was a lovely host, and the accommodation she offers is extremely comfortable, beautifully appointed, and ticks all the boxes required for a short stay. I stayed for 5 days while visiting my mother at the Ambers Care Center,and it would definitely be my go-to place should I need accommodation in Howick again. I had my main meal at lunchtime, so fortunately I didn't need to prepare much in the evening, but a welcome addition for me personally would've been a coffee plunger, otherwise everything else was perfect. Great hosts, delicious breakfasts. Came at busy time at Nottingham Road and unable to find restaurant but able to have self-catered dinner on patio with fire pit. Fridge great for cooling our drinks and food.
Very friendly and helpful host who gave great advise on routes and sites. Spacious, neat, comfortable and well-equipped unit, even with back-up electricity supply. Great location too!
Breathtaking view and gorgeous garden. Easy access to the lake and charming old farm house with lots of antiques, typical of the area. Ahead of time hosts were extremely accommodating and responsive regarding extra guests and pets.
