Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Great host that makes you feel very welcome, and shares all her knowledge about the area. The cottage itself is large, clean and comfortable, with airco both in the living and in the bedroom (not when there's loadshedding) and with a lovely patio (with water sprayers for cooling). Parking right in front of the cottage. WiFi was good, also during loadshedding. The kitchen was well equipped and the shower was one of the best and most original we had ever seen.
Mandie is the perfect hostess and walked the extra mile for us. She and the rest of the staff were more than helpful and friendly. I'll recommend The Falls Guesthouse to anyone.
Fantastic warm shower and ever so comfortable bed! Quiet surroundings, close to Augrabies Water Falls and quick access to border post. Friendly and helpful host 😁
We loved staying here - wonderful friendly hosts - good homecooked food - comfortable accommodation - great place to just relax unwind and enjoy the peace and quiet and the views.
Great location. We really loved the character of the guesthouse on a working farm. There was a inside barbecue. Restaurants nearby and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Picturesque, quiet, friendly host and beautiful views. My daughter was enthralled with the two kittens. The host went to a lot of trouble to cater for the vegans in the group.
Lucky was a charming and amiable host. Lovemore an excellent and thoroughly well trained sommelier/barman/waiter.
The meals were good and the presentation excellent. The view from the terrace and dining area over the pools and the water hole and mountains was lovely and we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the area.
