Staff were amazing and the service was excellent. Large rooms with everything you need for a base to explore Famagusta. Fantastic location, within minutes walking distance of the majority of cultural and historic sites. For those who are able, Varosha is a walkable distance with no real nerd to hire a car or use public transport.

I had a lovely spacious room, traditionally furnished, with a comfortable bed, a large wardrobe, a desk and two chairs and a bedside table. The room was at the back, so there was no noise from the street. Tea and coffee making facilities were available, as was hot water at all times in the en suite bathroom. Wi-fi connectivity was excellent. I liked the beautiful garden courtyard, attached to the restaurant. It takes less than ten minutes to walk to the Land Gate, the main entrance of the Walled Town, with its fine mediaeval buildings and great cafes and restaurants. Finally, I cannot speak too highly of the charming and affable owner, Hassan, and would like to thank him for his generous assistance and many kindnesses during my stay. I would happily stay at Cyprus House again, and can recommend it warmly to fellow travellers.
