Amazing homestay, where there are only three rooms and you are really with the owners, who are lovely. Every day a new traditional Vietnamese breakfast. You can rent motos from there, as it is not in the center, but we liked it that way. The owner explained the area really well and gave us recommendations on where to go.

Excellent hostel in a wonderful location - walking distance from the harbour, the beaches, and many good restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff, were able to arrange everything for me including activities, laundry, and transportation. The complimentary breakfast was very nice and the hostel overall had a relaxed laid-back atmosphere. If I ever return to Cat Ba I will stay here again, thanks Gem :)

The family running the hostel were super lovely and helped us out with everything we needed. The guy who runs the place doesn’t speak English but was super sweet and communicated very well using Google translate. Overall loved my stay there the facilities were great and nice and clean

Victor was an amazing host, organised all our trips ( cheaper than online ), very spacious and affordable rooms, clean and comfy, great location, couldn’t fault this hotel, the staff were AMAZING, nothing was too much.
The hostel is right in the city center and close to a lot of restaurants/bars/street food places. The room I slept in was quite clean and quiet, taking into account there were many people staying there.
Great value for money, great location and great hosts. The rooms were clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast is served every morning and it includes a variety of fruits, yogurt, pancakes, bread, coffee and tea. Check at the reception for tours around the bay as they have a couple of options, they are well organised and they are cheaper than booking online.
They also own a vegetarian restaurant which is worth trying!
Great location - very central so you find a lot of restaurants in walking distance but still quiet so you get some sleep :) the staff at the reception and at breakfast was really friendly and helpful! we booked a trekking tour as well used the laundrey service and both worked perfectly and to a very fair price. Breakfast was great as well, with some changing buffet options, fresh fruits as well as your choice of egg dish. Would definitively come back when in Cat Ba and can highly recommend!
Quiet and lovely dorm (we've never been more than 4 people) and the space is pretty big! The hostel offers some cheaper tours than anywhere else, laundry service and breakfast (you can choose what you would like to have every morning). The communication could be quit tricky sometimes but you can just text to Tony for any question. Very good value for money. Bring some ear plugs just cause sometimes there might be music coming from the city
Great host! He is so helpful and friendly. He arranged a very nice cruise for us at the last minute, and helped us when we had some issues with the bus back to the mainland. Nothing was too much for him. Accomodation is nice and quiet, everything you need is there.
Love House is a quiet, charming place and really beautiful, much nicer than all the big hotels in the city.
The host family is friendly, the restaurant is super delicious (including vegetarian options).
The room is a good size, comfortable bed and nice hot shower).
We had a nice breakfast with good coffee every morning (included in the cheap price).
Scooters for 100 k are needed to get to the city or national park (nice way though).
