Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Great location (walking to historic center in 10 minutes, and a few minutes to bus and ferry terminal, therefore great for a stopover between Montevideo and Buenos Aires). Very cozy hostel with attentive staff. Two breakfast options, the smaller for 4 USD including three medialunas, coffee, cereals and orange juice was perfect for us. Possibility to deposit the baggage between checkout and departure.
It is a very charming boutique hotel in the middle of ole Colonia del Sacramento. The staff is super friendly. The room was enormous with a nice sitting area.
Beautifully decorated apartment with a very relaxing vibe to it. All very clean and tidy with everything you can ask to call it home. There's basic stuff to complement your cooking like oil, salt and seasonings so you don't have to buy that for a one time meal prep. Lovely garden to relax and sunbathe and even a small pool. The cats are very friendly and the bed was very comfortable. Host was super helpful and kind. Close to city centre and all the amenities.
This place was great for a few relaxing days. It's very close to the beach, 10 minutes to walk. There you have a few restaurants withch were cheaper then the city. Also at 2 minutes away from the accommodation you can find some supermarkets and the bus station withch take you to the city center in less then 10 minutes and the ticket cost me 35 Uruguay pesos.
Ther room was well equipped and Luchi was a very nice host. Luchi and his wife were very friendly and helpful. It was a very pleasant experience
