Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Amazing little boutique hotel in the rain forest. It was quaint but well cared for. Great option to allow you to spend a full day exploring Volcanoes National Park and then have an early start on the drive to Kona (so you can stop for lots of adventures along the way). We loved our stay.
Great location minutes from the Volcano National Park - lovely property, immaculately presented and friendly hosts. The provision of a wide and plentiful assortment of breakfast items was a lovely touch and kept us going throughout our time on the trails! - thanks so much.
We stayed here for two nights and had a good time. Jodie, the host, was super friendly. Every morning she prepared delicious and filling breakfast, including fresh fruits, waffles or pancakes, eggs, and coffee.
Perfect starting point for the Volcano Park, only 5 minutes from the entrance but literally in the forest so very quiet. Restaurants and shops within 5 minutes by car.
The Lodge has a very well equipped kitchen available if you want to prepare your food by yourself.
Jon the host ensures that the whole Inn is always very clean and tidy and he is also very helpful when you need anything.
Food was excellent and plentiful. The cottage was charming. Every detail was looked after. The host was great and very accommodating.
We were comfortable and loved our stay at Teapot Cottage.
It mentions a continental breakfast, but it was so much more. Fruit, snacks, oatmeal, excellent coffee, the list goes on. Lovely, quiet neighbourhood, great hosts. Very comfortable bed.
