New York City Guest House 2, hotel in Queens

New York City Guest House 2 offers accommodations in New York, 3 miles from Metropolitan Museum of Art and 3.7 miles from Strawberry Fields.

Great location close to the Harlem Metro-North station. David is personable, professional, and helpful. The room was sparkling clean, quiet, and very comfortable—a great landing/launch pad for our overnight performing (me) & museum-going (my spouse) trip. I would definitely stay here again, and it would make a great home base for visiting local sites like the Jazz Museum.

Exceptionally clean throughout, towels replaced and bed made halfway through 2-night stay, good selection at breakfast, all day coffee and filtered water, great location one block from subway, 15 minutes to Times Square. Staff was friendly. Accommodations are very basic - like a hostel or dorm room - but spotlessly clean and comfortable.

Victor was an excellent host. He sent me a video with self check-in procedure, so we could come even late at night. He responded very quickly and asked me several times if everything was okay. The bathroom was cleaned every day, and the guests in the other rooms were very quiet and respectful of our privacy. The locality was also great - just a few minutes' walk to the subway, which takes you to Manhattan in 30-40 minutes. We enjoyed a cafe near the subway station called Cafe Catmandoo, where they had perfect coffee and avocado toast.

I liked I had my own private room with food, TV, and internet. It had all the simple amenities I hoped for. Nice, quiet neighborhood with a great host. Next time I’m in NY, I’ll definitely stay there again!

The hostel is in a very accessible location, the subway is a short distance away and there are several lines N,W,7+E,F,R that lead to the center and downtown or uptown. Great location, nice and helpful staff, kitchenette, small room with a small shower, everything satisfactory.

Great location, easy to head into Manhattan or Brooklyn from the closest subway station. It’s on a relatively quiet street but we felt fine walking back at night. The room was pretty spacious compared to others we have stayed in.

The Local NY is located in a quiet neighbourhood. In 2 minutes walking distance there are a few new restaurants and a brewery - which we liked very much. The next subway station is very close and services several lines to manhattan. The room was not too big but clean and as we expected. Travelling NYC, we would stay in the Hostel again.

The location is great, very close to the metro station and the city center, but also to the ferry that you can take to Dumbo or Manhattan. The lounge area is also nice, the rooms are clean and they have sufficient space for travellers (I've stayed in a 4-bed female dorm), and it's also great to get a fresh towel. I've stayed here two times when I was in NYC and I like how quite it was for a hostel. The rooftop area is also a plus point to the place.
