Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Andy and his team are great hosts. The motel room was clean and tidy and refilled/renewed every morning. It felt like we were really looked after with the special touches like toiletries, water bottles and cereal bars (loved them!) It was also a fairly short walk to the centre of Monterey (15-20 mins). Easy to drive to Carmel and Route 1 too. Big thumbs up from us.
The room was large with two queen beds. The location was good even if it located 2,5 kilometer from the city center. Nice and quiet milieu. The water in swimming pool wasn't too cold.
Although the exterior, rooms open to the parking lot, look very dated and cheap motel'ish, our room was of the main area and a bit more quiet. For a 1 night stay, it works.
Great location and charming rooms. Friendly & helpful receptionist
