Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Our second-floor accommodation at Nautical Nest Suites was attractive, convenient and peaceful. The bed and the shower were both excellent; the air-conditioning and the access to the Internet were fine, and the set of dark curtains kept out the morning sunshine. Our room was quiet and had plenty of windows. However, as explained below, it is not at all evident that our room merited being described as a "Deluxe Queen Suite".
The purely electronic check-in and check-out were without difficulty.
We had never been to Hudson and what a pleasant surprise. Nautical Nest is located on a quiet side street right in the heart of everything so easy to walk everywhere. Lovely decor and super comfortable bed. Remote check in and communication from the owners was spot on. We were here for only one night but would stay here for an extended vacation. Hudson has a lot to offer with lots to see and do plus great places to eat.
Great location!
An upcoming area with many amazing high scale restaurants and little shops
we really enjoy the city
The house it was nice for just one night of sleep that we needed
I don't know if I could stay longer than that
I loved the Nautical Nest in Hudson NY. It's a charming, cozy and modern hotel. I highly recommend the Nautical Nest Hudson and I had a lovely stay there.
Great location and cozy boutique hotel right in the center of town. The property (with a few rooms) does not have staff on location, but are responsive by text message. Great room, large with everything you need. At ground level there is a kitchen bar with teas, coffees and some small snacks to enjoy. Personally I don't miss the staff as long as everything is in order - and it was.
Great location just off Warren Street - you could easily walk for shopping and restaurants. A small kitchenette for guests provided free coffee, fruit and snacks. Water bottles in the room. We were in Room 5 at the top- spacious and comfy bed. Massive amount of channels on TV, every app you might want available. Quiet location neighborhood location. No keys to fuss with, code to get in the front door and another for your room.
Sweet Carolyn was a gem of a host making us feel part of her family. Her humble abode was a gorgeous 19th century architectural gem situated in a quiet corner just a few steps away from Warren Street....an ideal location. She was always available to offer wonderful ideas, and her warm and caring demeanour made us feel so welcome.
Great value for money! Very charming boutique hotel in the centre of town. We'll definitely book again when next in the area.
