Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Large apartment in a quiet neighbourhood location with off street parking About a 20 minute walk into downtown, a large supermarket and 5 minutes walk to restaurants. The property was clean and had everything we needed. Christie, the host, is lovely. Washer and dryer was very handy. The apartment is on the ground floor.
Everything was sparkling clean. The house has everything you could need to feel at home. It's a cozy and comfortable space in a great location.
The host was really nice and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again if I ever go back to Fairbanks.
Great location. Minutes from the airport without being noisy. Bistro/restaurant next door. Facilities very old school and quaint. We were there in winter and walked on the frozen river and saw a pair of Moose.
This was a super cute cabin in the woods, we loved everything about it. It's outside of the city, so it was very quiet. There was plenty of space for our boys to play outside, and we loved the large balconies to sit outside. It was very convenient to have a full kitchen and a washer and dryer, and communication with the host was easy.
The room is located in a very quiet and pleasant neighbourhood outside the city center. You will share the bathroom with just one more room, so I can say I never had to wait and everything went well. You even have everything for the breakfast inside your room. Thank you very much once again for receiving me even though I arrived at a completely unsocial time in the middle of the night.
I really enjoyed staying at this place. Kate and Steven are fantastic hosts and extremely open and supportive.
The accommodation is quietly located and the rooms are very clean.
I can 100% recommend it.
If I come back to Fairbanks one day, I would definitely try to stay at this place again.
Great location, close to everything but isolated enough that it’s very quiet and perfect for Aurora viewing. Fred and Janet were great hosts, providing local tips and a wake up service for the Aurora at night. The breakfast was also fantastic, and they were very accommodating with dietary restrictions.
