We loved the homey feeling of staying at the home. The food was outstanding and the trips to the city and the waterfall/coffee experience was very fun. It was just an experience to stay with a family and meet all the relatives. Everyone was so accommodating. I would definitely recommend holiday safari as a home base in Arusha.
Tropicana House is located in Arusha, just 3.6 miles from Old German Boma and 3.9 miles from Uhuru monument. Featuring a garden, the property is located within a 9-minute walk of Njiro Complex.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
This booking didn’t happen. Property inaccessible and host uncontactable.
If I am not charged and I receive compensation for the harmful & costly position I was put in then that will be good
Very nice hostel. Located in a nice village very close to kilimanjaro airport. Staff was lovely and dinner was included and it was very good.
Thank you!
My brother and I had perfect 2 days in Shamba Hostel. We were the only guest in the entire Hostel but breakfast and dinner were prepared with so much love and it was very tasty...thank you for these perfect dinners. Rooms were very clean with clean bathrooms on suite. No luxury at all, but everything there what you need.
The host, his wife and the rest of the staff were very kind and friendly. They also took us for a short stroll through the nearby village. If I ever come to Arusha again, I will stay here. Thank you for an unforgettable stay.
Great location and sets you up well if you are going on safari. There are multiple types of birds everywhere and saw giraffes in the distance. Lucas and team were great.
We stayed at Meru Mbega Lodge twice - one night prior to our ascent of Mount Meru and the night after the three-day hiking trip. Both stays were really good. Staff is extremely nice and helpful, food is great (we even got an extra portion of green vegetables), fresh fruit juices are different every day and homemade. We also enjoyed the calmness of the place, the many trees and the nice view on Kilimanjaro.
We definitely would recommend to stay at this lodge if you want to visit Arusha National Park since it is very close to the first gate.
Peaceful, quiet location, convenient if you're flying via Kilimanjaro airport. Generous breakfast, good meals, pleasant grounds. They arranged a guided walk in the local area which was a really nice chance to observe local life, beautiful rivers and wildlife in the surrounding forest.
The staff was excellent, trying to fulfill all your desires and answer questions. Absolutely quiet!! Wonderful garden, nice surrounding.
