The place is quiet and cozy, run by a lovely family. You can feel they really care about their guests.
It has a beautiful view of a tea plantation right in front, it's next to a great coffee shop, and there are a few walks you can do nearby.
It's a bit of a ride to get to Alishan national park but the host always kindly offers to drive you to the nearest bus stop to get around. She was always asking us what we wanted to do and was very helpful. She doesn't speak English but uses a translator app on her phone so communication was always smooth.

Simple accommodations in a great location for a good price. The owner was very friendly and suggested a great place nearby for dinner. They even had a living room area with a water dispenser and refrigerator for guests to use.

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Delightful property set in tea fields above the town. The owner was welcoming and helpful. He owns local tea farms and made us lovely oolong tea each morning with great care. We had a baloney out over tea fields and flowers to the mountains. There is no elevator but our host took our luggage up. Comfortable bed and large room. Very nice breakfast with hot option and fresh fruit and of course the tea - with coffee option too. It is a more traditional wet bathroom ( no shower screen) but good hot water and clean.
Friendly host, quaint and quiet location and accommodation
Shared space for meals with other guests was lovely.
Convenient location to fenqihu (even though bus only runs twice a day)
Near to an amazing romantic trail with cherry blossoms and near to entrance of sunset trail
It's peaceful, quiet, serene, great location, excellent view. Room size was great and spacious and clean. Owner was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and nice. Highly recommend this property.
We had an extremely pleasant yet too short stay in Shizhuo. The facilities are clean, comfortable, and charming. The host is super friendly and welcoming. Besides, the view from the guesthouse is a real highlight.
Very nice bed and breakfast in Shizuo! There are a couple of beautiful viewpoints in the area, and you are about a 5-10 minute drive away from the main area of Shizuo.
Bed was very comfy and the room was very spacious. Wifi worked well too. Breakfast was very yummy and the host communicated with me well enough (my Chinese is kinda spotty).
Great location for all hikes in the area, and very conveniently located in walking distance from the village bus stop. I was even picked up by the host when i arrived. A very nice and big dinner can be booked, a very tasty breakfast is included. I loved my room and bathroom, everything seemed very clean and new. In the morning i participated in a (free) tea ceremony which was interesting and very good. You can also find many other places in the area doing something similar, but it really felt like a meditative ceremony and i loved the tea.
